The Eagles will play their third-ever FA Cup final.
Crystal Palace have defeated Manchester City to lift the FA Cup 2024-25 trophy.
After winning the UEFA Europa League with Eintracht Frankfurt a few years ago, Oliver Glasner has now won the FA Cup with Palace. He is hoping to add it to his trophy collection. Palace’s very lengthy trophy streak will come to an end if they defeat Pep Guardiola’s team.
But when we look back at the history of the Palace and their trophy collection, they have not achieved much in past. They have mainly seen the others lift trophies even if they reached the final of any tournament.
But tomorrow they will look to break that curse when they face City in the final of the competition. This will be their third cup final, having previously reached this stage of the competition in 1989–90 and 2015–16.
Have Crystal Palace ever won the FA Cup trophy?
The Eagles have now won one major prize. In addition to winning the third division, they have won the second division thrice.
Palace hadn’t taken home any kind of trophy in over 30 years, having last won the former First Division in 1994. Their only previous lower league victory was in the 1920s, and they also took home the Second Division in the 1970s. Thus, for the entirety of their existence, this club have been devoid of success.
Palace have played three FA Cup finals so far in their history. Oliver Glasner’s side won the trophy in the third final.
