The May 24 edition features a clash between John Cena & R-Truth
WWE brought the second edition of the vintage show, Saturday Night’s Main Event, which took place on January 25, 2025, at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas. This was the second edition of SNME following its revival in December 2024.
Now the Stamford-based promotion is ready to deliver the third edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event from Florida. The May 24 edition of SNME will air live from the Yeungling Center in Tampa, Florida. The promotion has announced multiple matches and segments for the special show.
World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso is set for his second title defense at the Yeungling Center against ‘The Maverick’ Logan Paul. The two stars have had multiple run-ins with Paul knocking out the Champion four times, he now wants to do the same.
Following their unlikely alliance to neutralize Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker, CM Punk and Sami Zayn will team up to battle the team of Rollins and Breakker. While Punk is having trust issues since WrestleMania 41, Rollins wants to get a decisive victory and make it clear that opposing him is very costly.
R-Truth helped his “childhood hero,” John Cena, from getting punt kicked in the head by Randy Orton in the main event of Backlash 2025; the interference ultimately helped him win the match and retain the Undisputed WWE title.
However, Cena repaid Truth by putting him through a table during the post-show press conference. The two stars are now set to battle in a non-title match as Truth has vowed to beat Cena back to his senses.
Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest will meet again in a rematch since WrestleMania 41, where they clashed in a Sin City street fight. McIntyre picked up the win last month, and the two are now set to battle once again in a steel cage match.
