Seven of the TOTS players are from PSG.
The 2024-25 Ligue 1 campaign saw Paris Saint-Germain pick up their 13th title, and their fourth in a row. They ended 19 points ahead of second-place Marseille. AS Monaco will join these two sides in the league phase of next season’s UEFA Champions League after finishing third in the table.
Fans are still buzzing about all the awesome individual performances we have seen throughout the 2024/25 season. Despite PSG comfortably winning the league, the other teams also put in good performances this season. Some names had brilliant league campaigns and made our Ligue 1 team of the season:
Formation: 4-3-3
GK: Lucas Chevalier (Lille)
He has been a rock in goal for Lille all season long, showing some serious maturity for his age. His presence in the box and his ability to pull off some incredible saves have been key to Lille’s strong defence. He kept 11 clean sheets this season, which shows how good and consistent he was throughout the season.
Chevalier made crucial saves in many matches, which helped his team get good results.
LB: Nuno Mendes (PSG)
Mendes has improved his performance over the years and has grown into a top-quality player. Not only in defence, but also in attack, he helps his teammates. Only Hakimi created more chances after line-breaking passes than Mendes among all defenders in Ligue 1 this season.
He is fantastic at progressing the ball forward and delivering pinpoint crosses into the box.
CB: Marquinhos (PSG)
Marquinhos continues to be the rock at the heart of PSG’s defence, bringing leadership, stability and top-notch quality to their backline. He’s got a real commanding presence and reads the game brilliantly, which has been crucial in PSG conceding the fewest goals in the league. With the ball and without the ball, he is very good.
He completed his 12th season as a PSG player, winning the Ligue 1 title for a 10th time.
CB: Pacho (PSG)
Willian Pacho has surprised everyone with his performance this season. He did his job very well in every match. His partnership with Marquinhos was one of the best not only in Ligue 1 but in the whole of Europe.
Just like his partner in the back, he is also very good with the ball. The player is a physically strong and robust defender.
RB: Achraf Hakimi (PSG)
It will hardly come as a surprise to most that PSG defender Achraf Hakimi makes the Ligue 1 team of the season in the right-back position. It was yet another superb campaign for the Moroccan international, as he sealed his fourth league title in as many years at the club.
He is probably one of the best in his position. He played a key role in his team’s performance in the league as well as in the Champions League. Hakimi brings a lot of energy and drive to PSG’s attacks from that right wing, making him a vital player.
CDM: Andrey Santos (Strasbourg)
Santos has had a fantastic breakout season on loan at Strasbourg, turning into one of the most dynamic and impactful midfielders in Ligue 1. In 34 games, which he played this season, he scored 11 goals and provided three assists. Santo’s performance has been a driving force behind Strabourg’s strong season.
His energy, tackling ability and knack for goal scoring make him a vital player for his team.
CM: Joao Neves (PSG)
Neves has quickly become a key player in the midfield, as he showed a level of maturity and technical skill which perfectly fits Enrique’s style of play. He’s got the ability to control the tempo of the game and can pick out a killer pass, which has been vital for PSG’s dominance in midfield. Neves is very composed on the ball.
Despite his short stature, he is able to do his job for his team on the pitch.
CAM: Ryan Cherki (Lyon)
He was arguably the main reason Lyon secured European football for the 2025-26 season, finishing sixth and claiming a spot in the UEFA Conference League. Due to his brilliant performance this season, he has attracted much interest from some big clubs in Europe, as already there are many rumours in the news.
His incisive passing in the opposition half is one reason why so many Europe’s top clubs are reportedly taking a close look at him. Cherki got that flair, and he is a player who can produce moments of magic on the field.
LW: Bradley Barcola (PSG)
Barcola has had a breakthrough Ligue 1 season for PSG, as he emerged as a dynamic and exciting talent for them. This season, he has played 56 matches for his club, in which he scored 19 goals and provided 13 assists, which is a serious contribution to PSG’s attacking power. Barcola kept his form throughout this season.
Now surely his role in the UCL final will be crucial. His pace, dribbling ability and an eye for goal made him a key player for Enrique’s team.
RW: Ousmane Dembele (PSG)
The Frenchman has enjoyed his best-ever season at club level in 2024-25. Unlike last few seasons, he hasn’t been injured quite often. His electric pace, dribbling skills and clinical finishing have made him a nightmare for defenders all across Ligue 1.
Dembele’s consistent performance and significant market value confirm his status as one of the top attacking talents in the league. This season, he has played 47 games, in which he has scored 33 goals and provided 10 assists.
ST: Mason Greenwood (Marseille)
He scored 21 goals in Ligue 1 across 2024-25, the joint most with Ousmane Dembele. In doing so, he became just the second player to reach this total in his first season in the top flight with Marseille since 1947-48 after Alen Boskic. He has got his confidence back.
A few seasons back he was surrounded by controversies, and he has bounced back and shown his quality and proved everyone who doubted him. His performances have been crucial for Marseille as they’ve pushed for a high league finish.
