Bengal Warriorz bought in last season’s best raider, Devank Dalal, for a whopping 2.205 Cr.
Bengal Warriorz made headlines as they broke the bank to sign the services of Devank Dalal for the season 12 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL 12). The seven champions were hell bent on signing him as they kept raising the bar with utmost firmness, which rattled the other teams. The headlines also carried a major story, as they had to let go of Maninder Singh.
Their talismanic raider spent seven successful years with the Warriorz, including a title win in the seventh season. They would want to start a new journey with Devank Dalal, who will be getting a pay cheque of 2.205 cr. He will join with the likes of Vishwas S and Sushil Kambrekar, who blew hot and cold in the last season.
With the big splurging of money on Devank, Bengal Warriorz couldn’t go big on any other defenders. But thanks to the Final Bid Match option, they were able to get back the experienced duo of Nitesh Kumar and Mayur Kadam. The Warriorz also roped in Ashish Malik and Parteek. Both defenders had two good seasons with their respective teams and would want to repeat it.
The season seven champions, Bengal Warriorz, also resigned Jang Kun Lee, who had a season to forget last year. The Warirorz do have big names and players with big promises in their squad. It all boils down to the performances on the mat. The performances weren’t the way they expected last year. Bengal would want to erase those and start afresh. The fans would want the Tigers from Bengal to roar in the upcoming season.
