Mariah May recently made her debut on WWE NXT!
After two really successful years in AEW, Mariah May left the Jacksonville-based organization and made her debut on the June 3 episode of WWE NXT. During her debut, May declared that the best women’s division in the world just got a lot more glamorous.
The Glamour was recently removed from Tony Khan’s AEW roster website, causing a flurry of conjecture about her future. Given her well-documented affection for the Stamford-based company, she was speculated to join WWE.
Amid speculations, May debuted on the developmental brand, but there are still many questions left, such as: Will she preserve her name and the AEW character? Will she compete as a solo or with a partner? Most importantly, who could be her first WWE opponent under Triple H’s supervision?
While May made her debut on the developmental brand, let’s look at her top four dream opponents she could face on the main roster.
4. Lyra Valkyria
Mariah May and Lyra Valkyria go way back to their early NXT UK tryout days. While Valkyria made it through and climbed the ladder in WWE, May took a different route, honing her craft across the indies, STARDOM, and AEW.
Now that both are established stars, the timing couldn’t be better for them to revisit that history on the main roster. Lyra, the current Women’s Intercontinental Champion, is on the rise and could offer Mariah May her first taste of gold in WWE.
Their shared background adds natural storytelling, while their polished styles would ensure a show-stealing match. If WWE is looking for emotional weight and in-ring chemistry, this is a rivalry ready to write itself.

3. Giulia
Giulia and Mariah May already share a hard-hitting, emotional history from their time in STARDOM. Their rivalry helped elevate both women’s stock, and now, with Giulia officially signed to WWE, it’s only right they reignite that feud under a much bigger spotlight.
These two know how to bring the best out of each other, and what better way to introduce May to the WWE universe than with a familiar yet upgraded fight. Giulia’s edgy, unpredictable style clashes perfectly with May’s glam persona.
Their chemistry is proven, and the prospect of a renewed war between The Beautiful Madness and The Glamour on SmackDown is simply too good to pass up.
2. Liv Morgan
2024 saw Liv Morgan rise through WWE’s ranks in a way that mirrored Mariah May’s climb in AEW. Both women thrived in the spotlight of messy love triangle storylines, capturing fan attention with their dramatic flair and emotional performances.
Now, imagine what happens when these two forces collide. Liv’s chaotic unpredictability versus Mariah’s controlled elegance makes for a compelling matchup. Their contrasting styles could result in some magic inside the ring.
Add Dominik Mysterio to the equation, and you’ve got the makings of a juicy storyline that blends personal drama with athletic excellence. It would be wild, it would be loud, and it would absolutely deliver.
1. Rhea Ripley
There’s no bigger challenge for Mariah May than Rhea Ripley. The Eradicator is in a league of her own right now, combining brutal power with unmatched star presence.
She’s the benchmark in WWE’s women’s division, and facing her would instantly legitimize May in the eyes of the WWE universe. Rhea makes everyone around her better, and her dominance means that when someone stands toe-to-toe with her, it matters.
Mariah doesn’t need to beat Ripley right away, she just needs to survive and prove she belongs in the ring with the best. This matchup would be a true statement and the perfect start to a long, successful WWE run for The Glamour.
