Spanish tennis star Carlos Alcaraz is set to face ATP World No. #1 Jannik Sinner in the final of the 2025 French Open. The two young tennis stars are ready to battle for the coveted Roland Garros title. While Alcaraz is defending his title, carrying forward his touch to Spanish dominance, Sinner has reached his first final at Stade Roland Garros.

3. Become only third Spanish player to win French Open twice
In the Open Era, the French Open has been dominated by Spanish tennis players. Eight different Spanish tennis players have won the coveted title, but only two have won the accolade twice or more. Rafael Nadal has won Roland Garros 14 times between 2005 and 2023, maintaining a win-loss record of 112-4.
The other player is Sergi Bruguera, who won two consecutive titles in 1993 and 1994. Nevertheless, Carlos Alcaraz has a golden opportunity to join the elite list and become only the third Spanish player to win two Roland Garros titles.

2. Become second youngest player to win five Grand Slam titles
If Carlos Alcaraz beats Jannik Sinner in the 2025 French Open final, he will become the joint second-youngest player to win five singles Grand Slam titles. Swedish tennis legend Bjorn Borg was only 22 years and 5 days old when he won the 1978 French Open, his fifth singles Grand Slam title.
The second youngest player to reach the milestone is Spanish icon Rafael Nadal. The Spaniard completed the feat in 2008 after winning the Wimbledon Championships by beating Roger Federer in an iconic final, and at that time, he was 22 years, 1 month and 3 days old. Interestingly, Alcaraz will be 22 years, 1 month and 3 days old when he faces Sinner in the Roland Garros final.

1. Maintain a perfect record in Grand Slam finals
Carlos Alcaraz has played four Grand Slam finals in his professional career so far. He beat Casper Ruud at Flushing Meadows in 2022, later stunning Novak Djokovic in the 2023 Wimbledon Championships.
In 2024, he played the finals of the French Open and Wimbledon, where he defeated Alexander Zverev and Novak Djokovic. He has won all four finals, and he will face Jannik Sinner in the fifth summit clash.
