Indian Cricket Team keeper-batter Rishabh Pant will be holding the key for the team in the upcoming test series against the England Cricket Team. The two teams will be locking horns with each other in the five-match series, which will also be part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle.
The Indian Cricket Team have started their preparations for the test series against the England Cricket Team. The Shubman Gill-led side is putting in the hard yards, but they also faced an injury scare ahead of the first test, which is set to take place at Headingley in Leeds on 20th June.
Keeper-batter Rishabh Pant faced an injury scare while batting in the nets. As per the reports in RevSportz, it is learned that the keeper-batter got hit on his left hand while batting in the nets. The left-hander looked in immense pain and stopped batting. The physios also checked on him and, after a short examination, they placed an ice pack on his hand.
What was noticeable was that Rishabh Pant didn’t bat after that as his hand was strapped. He kept watching his teammates practice, and after some time, head coach Gautam Gambhir was also seen having a conversation with him, potentially about his injury.
Although the seriousness of the injury is yet to be known, team management would be hoping that the keeper-batter recovers quickly.

Overall in English conditions, Rishabh Pant has played 17 innings and has slammed 556 runs at an average of over 32. The Southpaw also has two hundreds and two fifties to his name.
