The ICC World test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 edition concluded in a magnificent way. We got the new winners as the South African cricket Team ended their title drought and lifted the first-ever International Cricket Council (ICC) test mace under the leadership of Temba Bavuma.
South Africa Cricket Team defeated the Australian Cricket Team in the ICC WTC 2023-25 final by five wickets. The summit clash took place at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, which saw history being scripted. The Proteas team displayed a stunning consistency throughout the two-year cycle, and it’s fair to say that they deserved to be the winners.
The ICC WTC 2023-25 witnessed spectacular performances over the course of two years. Batters, in particular, were brilliant as they came up with their best and ensured that they put their respective teams at the top, helping them win crucial games.
Just like the last two editions, the ICC WTC 2023-25 edition also was host to some of the gigantic batting efforts from a few batters. The edition witnessed a triple century and as many as eight double centuries coming from the bat of some of the exciting players.
Who scored the highest individual scores in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25?
The highest individual score in the ICC WTC 2023-25 belonged to England Cricket Team batter Harry Brook. The right-hander achieved the feat against Pakistan in 2024 at the Multan Cricket Stadium. He ended with an innings of 317 runs off 322 balls, slamming 29 boundaries and three sixes.
Joe Root, with 262 run-knock, and Ryan Rickelton, with 259-run innings, have the second and third highest individual scores in the ICC WTC 2023-25. Interestingly, both of them registered their scores against Pakistan.
Rachin Ravindra, Usman Khawaja, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Saud Shakeel and Abdullah Shafique also slammed double centuries during the ICC WTC 2023-25 edition. Notably, the Indian batter hit a double ton twice in the tournament.
