Georgia will host the May 23 episode of WWE SmackDown!
The May 23 episode of Friday Night SmackDown will air live from the EnMarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia. This will serve as the go-home show for the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event, which is the second installment of the event this year.
The second edition of SNME in 2025 will air on May 24 from the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida. The 05/23 episode will see the build-up for the announced matches reach a boiling point as stars will meet for the final time.
The promotion will continue the build towards the Money in the Bank 2025 as usual, with the two already announced Money in the Bank qualifying matches. LA Knight, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Aleister Black are set to collide in a triple-threat qualifying match. The winner will join Solo Sikoa, who qualified last week.
In the second MITB Qualifying match of the show and the fourth qualifying match for the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match overall, Giulia, Charlotte Flair, and Women’s United States Champion Zelina Vega will battle in a triple-threat match.
Alexa Bliss, Roxanne Perez, and Rhea Ripley have qualified for the women’s MITB ladder match so far. The show will also feature a WWE Tag Team title clash where Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) will defend the title against the former NXT Tag Team Champions Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom).
Last week, the former NXT Tag Champs proved that the consecutive wins are no fluke as they defeated the former WWE Tag Team Champions #DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa), the team that Street Profits defeated to win gold. Impressed by the performance and welcoming the challenge, the tag champions are now set to defend the title against Fraxiom this week on SmackDown.
