Kairi Sane defeats Raquel Rodriguez, Roxanne Perez aids the Judgment Day & more!
The 2025 edition of Money in the Bank is right around the corner, but first, it was time for Monday Night Raw. The June 02 episode of the Red brand served as the go-home show for MITB and aired live from the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA.
Multiple big stars were advertised for the show, including CM Punk, World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso, Rhea Ripley, Gunther, Seth Rollins, and Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio, among others. The show also featured the remaining two qualifying matches for the MITB ladder matches.
The show also featured two tag team matches along with a singles match. Get to know what happened this Monday, as we have the complete summary, highlights, results, and winners’ list for the 06/02 episode of WWE Raw.
WWE Raw Summary and Highlights
Pat McAfee reminded everyone about the basketball bet he made with Michael Cole, which Pat won. As a result, Cole had to call the show in a tank top. Reluctantly, Michael removed his shirt and jacket to reveal the tank top, giving a small flex for the crowd.
CM Punk – Sami Zayn
The Second City Saint kicked off the show, hyping up the crowd for the upcoming Money in the Bank 2025. Punk reminded everyone that he was a two-time MITB winner and was looking to cash in for the third time because it was the summer of Punk, and he wanted gold around his waist.
Punk then mentioned that one title was around his brother, Jey Uso, and the second name on top of the mountain was John Cena, and it was a bit personal with him. The Second City Saint went off on Cena and The Rock, sending a warning to Cena that he would come for him after MITB.
Punk voiced his intention of becoming the Champion one more time, and then Sami Zayn‘s music hit as he appeared from the entrance ramp. Zayn stepped into the ring as Punk stated that while he got mad when someone interrupted him, not this time.
Zayn picked up the mic, stating that he had heard for the first time since Punk’s return that he had expressed his intentions of becoming the Champion again. Zayn then stated that becoming the Champion wasn’t in the cards for him because of Paul Heyman and his faction. Sami hyped up Punk, stating that he must win and didn’t need to think about Bronson Reed or Bron Breakker, as Jey and he would take care of them.
Sami hyped up Punk, stating that he needed to focus on the match and not worry about Seth Rollins too. Punk reminded that Rollins had never been able to beat him. Zayn stated that he and the WWE Universe wanted him to win tonight.
The Tulsa crowd erupted in “CM Punk” chants as Zayn stated that if Punk won MITB and then the title, he and Punk would be in the ring again, having a different conversation than they were having tonight. Zayn added that if Rollins won, WWE would be unrecognizable. Punk fired back, stating that he looked forward to it. The two stars embraced as Zayn left.
Backstage
Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were backstage when Roxanne Perez arrived, stating that if Liv needed her tonight, she would be there to help. Morgan shut down the offer and asked Perez to stay away from the match before embracing Rodriguez. Morgan left and ran into Women’s World Champion Iyo Sky. Liv sent a warning to the Champion before making her way to the ring.
Liv Morgan vs Stephanie Vaquer vs Ivy Nile – Women’s MITB Qualifying triple-threat match
In the sixth qualifying match for the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, Liv Morgan, Stephanie Vaquer and Liv Morgan battled to secure the final spot. This was Vaquer’s first match after officially joining the Monday Night Raw roster.
The three women put on show in the first match of the show, however, Nile takes out Morgan ringside helped Vaquer to rally as she landed the SVB on Nile to pick up the win and join her fellow former NXT stars Giulia and Roxanne Perez in the match, Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley and Naomi have also secured a spot in the match.
Backstage
AJ Styles was backstage warming up for the MITB qualifiers when Paul Heyman approached and offered a handshake. Styles asked what he could do for him. Heyman wished Styles a Happy Birthday and revealed he had brought a gift for him, information and wisdom.
Heyman took a shot at Dominik Mysterio, stating that the IC title needed someone Phenomenal like Styles. However, he emphasized that MITB was too much and tonight it was Styles vs. CM Punk and El Grande Americano. He urged Styles to forget about Money in the Bank and focus on the Intercontinental title.
Heyman suggested that Styles leave MITB for Seth Rollins, but Styles shut down the idea, stating he would handle Dominik and the IC title later. He told Heyman that he doesn’t respond well to threats and would always push back. Styles advised Heyman to tell Rollins that he knew all about his plan, then reminded him of the old saying, “Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.”
Judgment Day (Finn Balor & JD McDonagh) vs War Raiders (Erik & Ivar)
After shaking the power balance in his favor, Judgment Day’s Finn Balor, alongside JD McDonagh, took on War Raiders (Erik & Ivar). This was their attempt to get back in the title picture as the World Tag Team Champions, the New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) were in the commentary booth for the match.
While referee Jessica Carr removed the New Day when they tried to cause a distraction, Roxanne Perez appeared when Ivar was looking to seal the victory. The interference helped the Judgment Day as McDonagh slammed Ivar on the ring post and Balor landed the Coup de Grace to pick up the win.
A Becky Lynch promo aired, where she pointed out that Lyra Valkyria was the one costing her opportunities. Lynch then delivered a fiery promo, hyping up their upcoming title match at Money in the Bank.
Backstage
Cathy Kelley was backstage with Stephanie Vaquer, asking how she felt after qualifying for the women’s MITB ladder match. Vaquer replied that she felt great, but just then, Rhea Ripley appeared, offering a handshake before saying, “I’ll see you Saturday.”
Lyra Valkyria – Becky Lynch
Lyra Valkyria made her way to the ring and went off on Becky Lynch, calling her out from her hiding spot. Becky’s music hit, and she made her way into the ring. Lynch began to speak, but Valkyria interrupted, calling her delusional and saying that her downfall should be studied.
Valkyria stated that she had changed and needed to get angry. She reminded Becky that she had beaten her twice, and at Money in the Bank, she would stop Lynch from poisoning the IC title. Becky fired back, claiming she didn’t think she hurt Lyra emotionally, as Valkyria just wanted an excuse to hurt her. Lynch insisted she only wanted to make Valkyria better.
Lynch then said it would hurt Lyra when she had to raise Becky’s hand at MITB. Lynch stepped out of the ring, but Valkyria called her on, urging her to fight. Lynch refused, saying she didn’t fight in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Fired up, Valkyria charged towards the entrance ramp, and the brawl was on. Security and officials rushed in to separate the two stars.
Jey Uso & Sami Zayn vs Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed
After the attack last week and the brawl afterwards, Jey Uso and Sami Zayn teamed up in the main event to battle the team of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. The match kicked off with both teams struggling for control and the four stars showcasing their brilliance in the ring.
However, it all went sideways when a suicide dive from Jey took everyone down and Seth Rollins came, taking out Jey with the stomp. Zayn tried to fight back, but the numbers game took over. Rollins then instructed Breakker to line up Zayn on the table as Reed climbed the ropes. The arena filled with “CM Punk” chants as Punk rushed in with a steel chair, taking out Breakker.
Punk threw the chair at Reed before stepping into the ring, but Rollins quickly rolled out and called on Reed and Breakker to retreat. Rollins calmed down Breakker, telling him that they were right where they wanted him and that they would get him later in the main event.
Backstage
In the Judgment Day locker room, Liv Morgan walked in and asked if she could talk to Finn Balor, who stepped away from the group. Morgan expressed that she saw exactly what Balor was doing by bringing in Roxanne Perez during her absence, but Balor clarified that Perez was there to help.
Liv questioned if she was imagining things, to which Balor responded that she was likely frustrated from the two back-to-back losses. He tried to make his case, asking if Liv trusted Dominik Mysterio. Morgan fired back, saying it wasn’t Dominik she didn’t trust. Balor suggested that Roxanne Perez could corner Raquel Rodriguez that night, but Liv was firm, stating that they would handle it on their own.
Kairi Sane vs Raquel Rodriguez
After costing Liv Morgan the match against Kairi Sane last week, Raquel Rodriguez took matters into her own hands this week. Morgan was ringside for the match and tried to interfere when it looked like Sane was going for the final blow.
However, Sane’s friend and Women’s World Champion Iyo Sky darted in to aid her friend, who landed the insane elbow inside the ring to Raquel and picked up the win, defeating the second half of the Women’s Tag Team Champion this time.
Backstage
Sami Zayn was backstage when Karrion Kross approached him. Zayn lost his temper and demanded to know why Kross was so fixated on him. Kross responded by claiming that Zayn was deceiving both himself and everyone else, saying he could have been a world champion numerous times.
He added that Zayn wasn’t a good guy; he was just as bad as the rest of them. Sami denied this, but Kross admitted that while he might be wrong, he could also be right.
Jey Uso was in the locker room when Gunther arrived and sat alongside the World Heavyweight Champion. Gunther remarked that the title was personal to him and he appreciated Jey’s effort in trying to be a great champion.
However, he pointed out that Jey had refused to think with his head, and now, Gunther was going to take the title back. Gunther acknowledged Jey’s selflessness in a selfish business but added that he knew Punk was in trouble tonight and that Jey would help him.
The Ring General reminded Jey that he was competing in a tag team match right before his title defense, and that all of this wasn’t the business of a champion. Gunther concluded the segment by stating that next week, the party was over. As he went to leave, Jey stopped him, stating three letters, one word: “TAP.”
CM Punk vs AJ Styles vs El Grande Americano – Men’s MITB Qualifying triple-threat match
In the main event of the show, CM Punk, AJ Styles and El Grande Americano locked horns in the final qualifying match for the men’s MITB ladder match. This was also the first time Punk and Styles locked horns inside the WWE ring, except for the 2025 Royal Rumble match.
Punk was once again very close to the victory as he landed the GTS on Americano. However, Bron Breakker appeared and pulled him out of the ring, Breakker and Bronson Reed then started hammering away on Punk as Jey Uso also came in, AJ Styles took everyone out with a suicide dive as the four men were brawling.
Styles then went for the phenomenal forearm from the ropes but ran into a vicious headbutt from Americano, who picked up the win and secured the final spot in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
After the match, Punk was furious about the loss and began hammering down on Breakker. Seth Rollins then darted in, attacking Punk as the two entered the ring, and the two stars clashed. Punk went for the GTS, but Breakker interrupted with a vicious spear. Sami Zayn rushed in to attack Breakker, but Reed quickly took him down.
The numbers game took over as Rollins delivered a stomp, taking out both Sami and Punk. Jey Uso came in with a superkick to Reed, but Rollins responded with another stomp to Jey. Reed then climbed to the top rope, hitting a Tsunami on Jey, followed by another Tsunami as ordered by Seth. Rollins and his group stood tall as WWE RAW came to an end!
The show also saw the Tulsa crowd erupt into “WE WANT TRUTH” chants multiple times during matches, segments, and commercials.
