India’s win over Pakistan was their third consecutive win in CAVA Men’s Nations League 2025.
The Indian men’s volleyball team defeated Pakistan in their crossover meeting in the second round of CAVA Men’s Nations League 2025. India will next face Kazakhstan on June 3 while Pakistan are scheduled to meet Iran on the same day.
Pakistan, who topped Pool A, entered the match as slight favourites given they are also the higher-ranked nation between the two. India, however, were on the game right from the go and dismantled their arch-rivals in 1 hour and 30 mins in straight sets 25-15, 25-19, 25-23.
In the earlier two matches in the day, Iran beat Kazakhstan comfortably 3-0 (25-15, 30-28, 25-15) while Kyrgyzstan fought back from 0-2 down at one stage to defeat Turkmenistan 3-2 (19-25, 21-25, 25-15, 25-21, 15–13).

Earlier, at the end of the group stages, India finished second in Pool A with six points coming from two wins, three draws and a loss in six matches. Iran topped the group, with nine points and three wins while Turkmenistan had one win and Uzbekistan finished winless at the bottom.
In Pool B, all three teams—Pakistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan had one win and one loss respectively. However, Pakistan topped the group while Kazakhstan finished second and Kyrgyzstan ended last.

On June 3, India are scheduled to meet Kazakhstan in the first match of the day (11:00 AM) which will be followed by Iran vs Pakistan (2:30 PM) while Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan will clash in the day’s last match at 5:30 PM IST.
The CAVA Men’s Nations League 2025 kicked off on May 29 in Fergana, Uzbekistan. The volleyball Championship was earlier scheduled to be held in Pakistan but was moved out of the country due to security concerns. India had threatened to pull out if the tournament would have taken place in Pakistan.
Hosts Uzbekistan, India, Turkmenistan, Iran, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan are the seven nations competing in the Championship. Pakistan are the defending champions while Turkmenistan finished as runner-up in the previous edition in 2024 while Kyrgyzstan bagged third place.
