The Second City Saint is teaming up with Sami Zayn this Saturday!
‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk is set to team up with Sami Zayn to battle the team of Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker at the May 24 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event. The May 24 edition of SNME will emanate live from the Yeungling Center in Tampa, Florida. This will be the second edition of SNME in 2025 and the third one overall since its return.
WWE brought the second edition of the vintage show, Saturday Night’s Main Event, which took place on January 25, 2025, at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas. This was the second edition of SNME following its revival in December 2024.
The tag team clash will be in the backdrop of Punk dealing with trust issues since WrestleMania 41, where Paul Heyman betrayed him and then Roman Reigns to align with Seth Rollins. Punk being betrayed by his ‘best friend’ has left him heartbroken and angry to exact revenge.
On the other hand, Sami suffered a vicious beating when he refused to accept Rollins’ offer and move to SmackDown. The beatdown was a warning to anyone who dares to oppose them, now Zayn wants to capitalize on the opportunity and fight back.

CM Punk last teamed with The Boogeyman in 2007 at SNME
The tag team match at Saturday Night’s Main Event will be CM Punk‘s first appearance at the event since 2007. This will also be his second only appearance at the event, with the first being the August 2007 edition of the show.
Punk teamed up with The Boogeyman to battle the team of Big Daddy V and John Morrison in a tag team match. The Second City Saint picked up the win alongside The Boogeyman at the show, which emanated in August 2007 from Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York, USA.
The Second City Saint has two total appearances at SNME, including the upcoming one on May 24, and has accumulated a unique WWE record as he has only wrestled in tag team matches at the special show.
The August 2007 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event was taped on Monday, 13 August, and was televised as per tradition on Saturday, 18 August.
