The spirit of beauty, philanthropy, and culture came together in splendid harmony on Monday evening as 108 contestants of Miss World 2025 were hosted at the ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ gala in Hyderabad. Organised at the residence of philanthropist Sudha Reddy, the evening was billed tribute to the enduring values of the Miss World platform, beauty, purpose, and global unity.
The highlight of the night was the much-anticipated ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ presentation, where contestants shared stories of grassroots social impact. From healthcare and education to sustainable community development, their projects underscored the Miss World Organisation’s core mission of fostering meaningful change. The top five humanitarian initiatives were honoured on stage by royal dignitaries, drawing attention to the transformative work being carried out across the globe.
Elegance flowed seamlessly into empathy as guests were welcomed to a dining experience that reimagined Indian culinary traditions. A luxurious table setting showcased Indian classics with a modern twist, reflecting the country’s evolving gastronomic identity. The menu, paired with an ambiance was steeped in Hyderabad’s rich cultural legacy. As the evening unfolded, music took centre stage with a performance by Tabla and Sons, a 21-member ensemble that merged classical Indian percussion with contemporary rhythms, enthralling the guests.
The event also brought together a distinguished blend of tradition and diplomacy. Among the attendees were Radhika Raje Gaekwad of Baroda, Ritu Ajatshatru Singh of Jammu and Kashmir, Krishna Kumari of Jodhpur, Princess Pooja Padmaraje Patwardhan of Sangli, and Lakshmi Puri, former Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations.
