Team Ninja is back!
One of the best reveals of the Sony PlayStation State of Play for me was Nioh 3. Team Ninja is bringing back its iconic franchise with a new story this time.

Nioh 3 is releasing in early 2026
After Ninja Gaiden 4, Team Ninja is back once again and this time, they announced Nioh 3, which will be releasing in Early 2026.
Nioh and the Ninja Gaiden series have been very close to my heart and were my entry point to the Souls game. For me, Nioh 2 is still one of the best games I have played from Team Ninja.
Nioh 3 adds a Ninja combat style to the conventional Samurai style, providing more combat dynamics.

The Samurai style keeps its roots while adding enhanced arts competence, increasing martial arts impact, and a new deflect move for last-second blocks, ideal for fierce close-quarters combat.
Meanwhile, the Ninja style incorporates evading, aerial moves, and Ninjitsu techniques such as Mist, which creates a clone after an assault, and Evade, which allows for narrow escapes.
Players can effortlessly transition between styles, necessitating strategic decisions dependent on adversary’s kind.
With vast fields replacing linear stages, exploration gains a significant boost, providing more freedom and immersion.

Expect unexpected yokai encounters, fascinating communities with dark secrets, and the hard tasks of The Crucible.
In Nioh 3, you’ll play as a teenage warrior aspiring to be the next shogun, exploring bigger areas with high risks.
