As of May 25, 2025, Electronic Arts (EA) has made no official statement or announcement about Battlefront 3.
Industry insider Tom Henderson has revealed that the game is “likely never going to happen,” noting EA’s commitment to other projects.
With DICE, the company behind Battlefront 2, now completely devoted to the Battlefield series, and Respawn Entertainment preoccupied with Apex Legends and other projects, there is no apparent developer for a new Battlefront.
A former Battlefront 2 developer recently shared his view and wants all the ex-developers of the game to come together for Battlefront 3.

EA Sports has a great opportunity to ride the trend and listen to the fans. However, it’s unlikely that they will listen and announce Battlefront 3 anytime soon.
With no specific intentions, EA sees little incentive to respond to what is essentially a social media phenomenon.
However, the Battlefront 2 rebirth demonstrates the franchise’s ongoing appeal, implying the possibility of future ventures, although not necessarily a numbered sequel.
