Zoey Stark was in the MITB qualifier match tonight!
Zoey Stark’s Money in the Bank ambition were crushed by an unfortunate and severe botch. On the most recent edition of RAW at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in South Carolina, the WWE superstar damaged her knee while attempting to utilize her famous springboard missile dropkick on Kairi Sane, who was also returning from a layoff.
Stark landed on her leg while fighting against Sane and Rhea Ripley in a triple-threat WWE women’s MITB qualifier match. Her knee was bent in the wrong way, causing a vicious-looking injury.
Following a brutal battle with Sane, Stark collapsed to the ring, holding her right knee. The official called for emergency assistance straight away because she appeared to be in a lot of pain.
Following the examination by the ring physicians, Stark attempted to exit the arena. She was later dragged off backstage because she couldn’t stand.
While commenting, Michael Cole questioned whether Stark had reinjured her knee. The 31-year-old underwent surgery in 2021 for a ruptured ACL, MCL, and meniscus. WWE are yet to make a formal announcement about her current diagnosis.
“Wrestling is a beautiful and dangerous sport. We give our all every time we step into the ring, and we also risk a lot when we do what we love. Zoey Stark, I love you, sister, and I hope you recover soon,” Rosa wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
For the first time since January, Stark appeared on RAW. She is Pure Fusion Collective’s final member after Shayna Baszler and Sonya Deville were discharged.
Prior to her return to the program, Stark had largely featured on home shows and the Main Event. She was chosen in the 2023 WWE Draft after suffering injuries in NXT.
Rhea Ripley won the women’s qualifier after Stark left the arena. She finally secured a spot in the Money in the Bank ladder match on June 7, pinning Kairi Sane with the Riptide.
