With history, heartbreak, and high stakes attached, the two Irish Superstars are set to battle once again at Money in the Bank with Valkyria’s WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the line. But how have they fared against each other in the ring so far?

Despite their mutual respect during their early interactions on “NXT,” their first true clash came at NXT: Halloween Havoc in October 2023. On that night, Lyra Valkyria shocked the WWE Universe by defeating Becky Lynch to become the new NXT Women’s Champion.
It was a defining moment in Valkyria’s young career, as she pinned a modern-day legend clean in the middle of the ring. Lynch raised Valkyria’s hand post-match, signifying a passing of the torch or so it seemed.
The next chapter unfolded at Backlash 2025 after weeks of tension following their short-lived WWE Women’s Tag Team Title reign.
Lynch turned on Valkyria the night after WrestleMania 41, blaming her for their rapid loss of the gold. The animosity exploded into an all-out war at Backlash, where the two finally met one-on-one under hostile circumstances.
In a shocking conclusion, Valkyria once again got the better of “The Man,” rolling her up for a surprise flash pinfall. While the victory cemented her dominance, Lynch snapped post-match and brutally attacked Valkyria, setting the stage for another showdown.
Heading into Money in the Bank 2025, the head-to-head record between Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch stood at 2-0 in Valkyria’s favor. Both wins have come in singles competition and under high-pressure circumstances, a title match in NXT and a grudge match at Backlash.
However, Lynch was far from done. Driven by ego, pride, and a desire to reclaim her place at the top, Lynch vowed that if she lost in Los Angeles, she would never challenge for Valkyria’s Intercontinental title again. But if she won, she demanded not only the gold but Valkyria’s respect.
Lynch managed to get the better of the rolls up exchanges similar to their Backlash encounter. However, Lynch managed to get the better of the situation this time around, grabbing Lyra by her tights to win the match.
