Manchester United predicted lineup vs Tottenham Hotspur for UEFA Europa League final 2024-25

The Red Devils will hope to win the trophy after their last triumph in 2017.

The UEFA Europa League final between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United is scheduled for Wednesday night (12:30 AM IST) in Bilbao, with both teams hoping to finish disappointing seasons on a high note.

As they prepare for the sixth all-English UEFA final, domestic shortcomings can be set aside for 90 minutes or longer. Like Spurs, United’s hopes of qualifying for Europe the next season depend on their performance at San Mames.

The Manchester team will enter this crucial match having lost all six of their previous matches with Tottenham in all competitions.

In their only prior meeting in European competition, the Red Devils advanced to the quarterfinals with a 4-3 aggregate victory in the 1963–64 Cup Winners’ Cup.

Ruben Amorim can eventually become just the third Manchester United manager to win a major trophy in his debut year, following Erik ten Hag in 2022–2023 and Jose Mourinho in 2016–17. He will attempt to add some gloss to a dismal start to his stay in England.

Friday’s 1-0 loss to Chelsea marked his team’s 18th league loss of the season, dropping them one point and one spot above Spurs in 16th position. UEFA Champions League qualification depends on a remarkable night in the final in Bilbao.

Manchester United predicted lineup vs Tottenham Hotspur

Manchester United predicted lineup (3-4-2-1): Onana (GK); Lindelof, Maguire, Yoro; Mazraoui, Ugarte, Casemiro, Dorgu; Diallo, Fernandes; Hojlund

Amorim is likely to use the players he employed in the previous Europa League matches. We have Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro playing the three-man centre-backs.

Meanwhile, in midfield, Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte will add more defensive solidity to the team, and Amad Diallo, Bruno Fernandes and Rasmus Hojlund will take charge of the attack.

Recent additions Mason Mount and Amad Diallo both contributed to the second-leg victory over Athletic Club by supporting a misfiring attack. They could end up crucial roles in this game as well. Meanwhile Joshua Zirkzee was seen back on the pitch. Will he participate in final or not? Only Amorim and time can tell us the answer.
