Hyderabad rolled out the red carpet for the grand finale of the 72nd Miss World pageant as the contestants and guests started trooping in at 5 p.m. on Saturday (May 31, 2025), ahead of the main event, which began at 6:30 p.m. Inside the packed venue, thousands of attendees were seated in colour-coded sections, based on the passes they were issued.
The spectacular opening at the Hitex Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad, marked the culmination of a month-long celebration of beauty, talent, and purpose. As the evening unfolded, the world watched in anticipation to witness the crowning of the next Miss World.

Hosting the evening are Stephanie del Valle, Miss World 2016, and Indian television presenter Sachiin Kumbhar. The duo opened the ceremony by reflecting on the global journey of the contestants over the past month, tracing their experiences across events and challenges that led to the finale.
The first major moment of the evening came as contestants took to the stage in groups, beginning with those representing the Americas and Caribbean, followed by Africa, Europe, and finally Asia and Oceania. Representing India, Nandini Gupta received a thunderous cheer from the crowd as she stepped onto the stage, with the home audience showing overwhelming support.
