MI defeated GT by 20 runs in the Eliminator of IPL 2025.
Mumbai Indians (MI) and Gujarat Titans (GT) clashed in the Eliminator of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Friday, May 30. The GT vs MI, Eliminator clash took place at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Chandigarh, where MI defeated GT by 20 runs in the high-scoring clash.
GT had a mammoth target of 229 runs in the match. GT lost opener Shubman Gill cheaply for one run at the start. Sai Sudharsan slammed a wonderful knock of 80 runs while Washington Sundar scored 48 runs. However, they could not drive the team to victory as GT ended with 208/6 in the end.
Earlier, MI skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bat first in the match. Opener Rohit Sharma smacked a stunning knock of 81 runs to power the scoreboard to 228/5 in the first innings. Jonny Bairstow and Suryakumar Yadav added crucial 47 runs and 33 runs respectively.

There is only one change in the list of top five run-scorers in IPL 2025 following GT vs MI Eliminator match. Suryakumar Yadav (673) has moved to second spot in the Orange Cap leaderboard with his 33 runs in the encounter.
Shubman Gill, who got out for one run, has dropped to the third spot with 650 runs. Sai Sudharsan, who scored 80 runs in the game, finished as the highest run-scorer of the IPL 2025 with 759 runs. Mitchell Marsh (627) and Virat Kohli (614) capture the fourth and fifth spots respectively.

Sai Kishore hunted two scalps and now holds the fifth spot with 19 wickets. Noor Ahmad grabs the second spot with 24 wickets, while Josh Hazlewood occupies the third spot with 21 wickets.
