The Pro Kabaddi League is the most exciting event of the year for Kabaddi fans. PKL is a two-month-long spectacular Kabaddi drama that sees the best players from around the world showcase their brilliant skills in the game. Since the inception of PKL in 2014, Kabaddi has made huge progress across the country and is one of the best leagues in India.

Haryana Steelers lifted the PKL 11 trophy after finishing as the runners-up in PKL 10. Manpreet Singh’s Steelers have once again prepared a strong team for the upcoming season, and they will take the field to defend their title.

PKL season 12 likely to start in August

The PKL craze grows again after the spectacular auction that concluded earlier this month. As the fans wait for the league to begin, we have great news for you. The Pro Kabaddi League season 12 (PKL 12) is likely to start in mid-August 2025, with possible dates being August 15, 16, or 17. Fans will not have to wait as long as last year and will be able to enjoy Kabaddi much earlier this year.

In season 11, youngsters like Devank Dalal, Ayan Lohchab, Ajit Chouhan, Sagar Sethpal, and Moein Shafaghi have added immense potential to the future of Kabaddi and increased the number of fans even more. The effect of the previous season’s success was seen in PKL 12’s auction.

Highlights of the PKL 12 auction

Many records were made in the auction of PKL 12, one of which was that 10 players were sold for more than 1 crore. As expected, PKL 11 MVP Mohammadreza Shadloui was the most expensive buy in the PKL 12 auction by Gujarat Giants for Rs 2.23 crore. On the other hand, Devank Dalal, last season’s most successful raider, was another expensive buy. Bengal Warriorz bought him for Rs 2.205 crore.

Other than these two, Ashu Malik (1.90 Cr), Ankit Jaglan (1.573 Cr), Arjun Deshwal (1.405 Cr), Naveen Kumar (1.20 Cr), Yogesh Dahiya (1.125 Cr), Guman Singh (1.0725 Cr), Sachin Tanwar (1.0575 Cr), Nitin Kumar (1.0025 Cr) were other eight crorepatis from the PKL 12 auction.

The auction showcased a trailer of how good the upcoming season is going to be. The franchises have worked hard and built strong teams to give themselves maximum chances to lift the PKL 12 trophy.
