FIFA approved a small transfer window for clubs ahead of the Club World Cup.
An extraordinary transfer window was authorised by FIFA and ran from June 1 to June 10, 2025. All 20 member associations with clubs competing in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 were subject to this provisional registration period.
We look at the new signings who can make their FIFA Club World Cup 2025 debuts for their respective clubs. Several clubs were active during this brief transfer window and were able to add a few players to strengthen their teams before the competition.
Real Madrid: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dean Huijsen
Naturally, both Huijsen and Alexander-Arnold, two defenders, were introduced to the media this week as Real Madrid players.
The two, in turn, began practising with Los Blancos earlier today in preparation for the Club World Cup. They were also included in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 roster to compete in the competition this summer and are likely to make their debut in the event.
Man City: Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Cherki, Rayan Aït-Nouri
Manchester City signed three first-team players in a single day this week, making them one of the busiest clubs throughout the window. The first player to arrive was Algerian left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri, who had joined from Wolves.
Rayan Cherki, a 21-year-old winger from Lyon who will undoubtedly provide plenty of excitement in the attacking third, followed him through the door. Tijjani Reijnders, a midfielder for the Netherlands who joined from AC Milan, completed a hat-trick of outstanding acquisitions.
Additionally, the three stars were added to the City’s FIFA Club World Cup 2025 roster for this summer’s championship and are likely to make their debut in the event.
Chelsea: Liam Delap
Chelsea FC have added to an already strong team. Liam Delap, a much sought-after striker, was the main attraction. The 22-year-old joined from Ipswich Town after an impressive Premier League first season.
He was also added to the Blues FIFA Club World 2025 Cup team for the competition this summer and is likely to make his debut in the event.
Bayern Munich: Jonathan Tah, Tom Bischof
Everyone’s eyes will be on newcomer Tah, who is expected to make his Bayern debut after joining from rivals Bayer Leverkusen. The German international will undoubtedly want to start his Bayern career with a title.
In the journey over the Atlantic, Tah will join up with his new colleagues, along with fellow recruit Tom Bischof. Both players have been added to the squad to allow them to get ready for the Club World Cup.
Borussia Dortmund: Jobe Bellingham
When the Black-Yellows begin their FIFA Club World Cup 2025 quest against Fluminense in New Jersey on Tuesday, Jobe Bellingham is anticipated to make his debut for Borussia Dortmund.
After helping Sunderland advance to the English Premier League through the EFL Championship play-offs just last month, the 19-year-old midfielder has already had his first full practice with his new team. He is most likely to play at the MetLife Stadium.
Inter Milan: Luis Henrique
Luis Henrique, previously a talented winger for Marseille, has joined Inter Milan. Additionally, he was included in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 squad for the Italian team this summer. He could be the key player for the team to succeed in the competition.
Due to the winger’s outstanding performance, Inter decided to sign him to strengthen their team before the competition.
Porto: Gabri Veiga
After two years at Al Ahli, FC Porto pulled off a huge coup by bringing in the incredibly gifted Gabri Veiga. Additionally, he was included in the Portuguese team’s squad for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 this summer. His experience will be paramount for Porto going into the event.
Flamengo: Jorginho
After his deal with Arsenal was mutually terminated, Jorginho joined Flamengo of Brazil to play in this month’s FIFA Club World Cup 2025. He claimed the European Championship in 2020 and has 57 caps for Italy. According to the Brazilian Serie A team:
“Jorginho’s first assignment with Flamengo will be at the Club World Cup.”
On June 16, Flamengo will play Tunisian team ES Tunis in Philadelphia to kick off their Club World Cup campaign.
Botafogo: Joaquin Correa
Joaquin Correa, a former Inter Milan player, joined Botafogo’s frontline overhaul during the window in South America. This is a major signing for the South American team, who want to advance further in the competition to make an impression and show other elite teams how good they are. Correa will surely spearhead the attacking line for Botafogo and is likely to make his debut for them in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.
Al Ain: Rui Patrício
Portuguese goalkeeper Rui Patricio, who has 108 caps, will be a huge asset to Al Ain FC. The club would greatly benefit from having a seasoned player in goal. Patricio will undoubtedly start as the UAE team’s goalie when they play in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.
