DC defeated PBKS by six wickets in match No. 66 of IPL 2025.
Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) wrestled in the 66th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The encounter took place at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, where DC crushed PBKS by six wickets in the match.
The Capitals had a mammoth target of 207 runs to chase in the match. Openers KL Rahul (35) and Faf du Plessis (23) etched an opening stand of 55 runs. Later, batting at No. 3, Karun Nair scored a brilliant knock of 44 runs. Sammer Rizvi scored an unbeaten half-century (58*) to drive DC to victory in the final over.
Earlier, DC’s stand-in skipper Faf du Plessis won the toss and chose to bowl first. PBKS opener Prabhsimran Singh added 28 runs while Josh Inglis scored quickfire 32 runs. Shreyas Iyer slammed a stunning half-century (53) to propel the scoreboard to 206/8. Marcus Stoinis added crucial 44 runs off 16 deliveries towards the end.

After the 66th match of IPL 2025, DC grab the fifth spot in the points table. They have 15 points and Net Run Rate (NNR) of + 0.011. On the other hand, PBKS occupy the second spot after a defeat in the match. They have 17 points and NRR of +0.327.
Gujarat Titans (GT) grab the top spot in the points table with 18 points. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) capture the third place with 17 points. Mumbai Indians (MI) occupy the fourth spot with 16 points. Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) continue to languish at the bottom of the points table.
