Liverpool won their 20th Premier League title this season.
The Premier League 2024-25 season has come to an end with Liverpool winning their 20th historic title this term. Once again, Arsenal, who challenged Manchester City for the last two seasons, were the contenders battling the Reds to end their title drought.
However, for the third time, the club have finished second as Liverpool under new manager Arne Slot won the title and also ended Manchester City’s dominance in the league. City finished third this time despite winning the title four times in a row.
Leicester City, Southampton, and Ipswich Town were relegated
This time, Leicester City, Southampton and Ipswich Town had to bid adieu to the English top-flight as they couldn’t fight the relegation zone to remain in the Premier League this season.
However, safe to say this season, no club have breached the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules like last season, after Everton, Nottingham Forest received points deductions for breaking the PSR rule.
Which American players were in the Premier League this season?
Tyler Adams, who played in three games for Bournemouth, which finished in ninth place, missed most of the previous season due to injury. He did, however, play in 27 league games this season and was impressive.
Despite finishing in 11th position, Antonee Robinson enjoyed yet another outstanding season with Fulham. This season, Nottingham Forest, supported by Matt Turner, came in seventh in the league.
This season, Chris Richards was outstanding for Crystal Palace, helping them finish 12th in the league and win the historic FA Cup.
Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur endured their worst season in their history.
Manchester United experienced one of the worst seasons in their history as the club finished 15th in the Premier League and also missed out on playing in European competition for the next season. Meanwhile, for Tottenham Hotspur, they secured a Champions League spot after beating United 1-0 in the Europa League final, but finished 17th in the Premier League.
