Rishabh Pant is the vice-captain of Indian test squad for the England tour.
Rishabh Pant announced his arrival in the United Kingdom (UK) before the five-match test series between England and India starting June 20. India had a couple of practice sessions at the iconic Lord’s Stadium, and Pant made a hole in the roof of the stadium with a monstrous six during one of the batting sessions.
Rohit Sharma has been replaced as the team’s test captain by Shubman Gill, who will be eager to get off to a strong start. Since 2007, Team India has failed to win a test series in England. In England, the team captained by Shubman Gill has the chance to snap India’s protracted series losing streak.
Rishabh Pant is without a doubt one of the most significant players on the current test squad. Being one of the team’s most seasoned batters, it will be his responsibility to spearhead the team’s batting attack now with players like Rohit and Virat Kohli are retiring from the format.
Throughout the series, the wicket-keeper batter will be the center of attention, and he will try to live up to the hype. He is currently training with the staff at the renowned Lord’s, and the first indications are encouraging.
