Sunrisers Hyderabad owns the record for top team total in IPL history.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) wrote their name into the records book in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Sunday, May 25. SRH piled a gigantic total of 278/3 in the clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The 68th match of IPL 2025 took place at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

SRH skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to bat first in the match. Opener Travis Head attacked KKR bowlers from the start, hitting 76 runs off 40 balls. Later, Heinrich Klaasen stormed unbeaten 105 runs off 39 balls to drive SRH to the mammoth total.

Notably, SRH recorded the third-highest team total ever in IPL history. The first two records are also held by SRH. The highest ever total in tournament’s history is 287/3 by Sunrisers Hyderabad against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in IPL 2024.

With their heroics in the game against KKR, SRH now holds the record of most 250+ scores in the IPL. The Pat Cummins-led side has achieved the feat five times in the league.

Notably, Sunrisers have slammed the top four highest team totals in IPL history.

Meanwhile, SRH are out of the playoffs in 2025. Out of 13 matches, excluding the clash against KKR, Sunrisers have won five games and lost seven matches. One match ended with no result. With 11 points, they grab the eighth spot in the points table. They face KKR on Sunday in the last match of the league stage.
