Will Logan Paul betray John Cena at WWE Money in the Bank 2025? Exploring the possibilities

John Cena will team up with Logan Paul to battle in a tag team match at MITB!

An unlikely alliance has been forged during the May 24 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event as Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena interfered in the World Heavyweight title clash between Jey Uso (c) and ‘The Maverick’ Logan Paul.

However, this interference brought Cody Rhodes, who made his return to aid Jey after losing the title to Cena at WrestleMania 41. The exchange led to Cody challenging Cena and Logan to a tag team match alongside Jey at Money in the Bank 2025.

The two teams will now battle on June 7 at the Intuit Dome, however, a few exchanges have led many fans to question if Paul will betray Cena during the tag team match.

Rhodes made his return on the May 30 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. he also brought Jey Uso with him, followed by John Cena, who was also set to return, appeared. As Rhodes brought his partner with him, Cena also brought Logan with him.

Tensions between John Cena & Logan Paul were visible on SmackDown

The four stars engaged in a fiery segment, building up hype for the tag team clash, during the final moments of the segment, when the four seemed to throw down, Cena turned as Paul likely unintentionally shoved him, which seemed to irk the Champion as he got in Paul’s face.

Although a provoking comment from Rhodes forced Cena to turn his attention, as they started brawling. However, the brief face-off showcased the tensions between the two and left many fans wondering if Paul is going to betray Cena at MITB.

Paul might be holding a grudge with Cena, who failed to help him win the World Heavyweight title at SNME. While Cena and Logan had a lot of praise for each other, there seemed to be a lack of chemistry between the two when things turned ugly.

Fans are also speculating on Cena’s face turn, which is likely inevitable before his retirement, and a betrayal from Paul might be the final push in turning Cena’s face. Cena’s brief moment of realization during his clash with R-Truth at SNME also hinted at the promotion planting seeds of his turn, and the MITB tag team match might be used for the same, if Paul doesn’t totally betray Cena.

The 16th edition of Money in the Bank will also feature the two traditional men’s and women’s MITB ladder matches, along with a Women’s Intercontinental title clash where Lyra Valkyria will defend the title against Becky Lynch in a rematch from Backlash 2025.
